Hello, I’m Mai (pronounced like May). I’m an artist and graphic designer from the Washington, DC area. My specialty is digital illustration and design, with a current focus in book design. I also work in various traditional mediums such as ink, colored pencil, oils, and watercolors. My work is inspired by literature, nature, and all things whimsical.I'm currently working on an illustrated edition of Gaston Leroux's classic novel, The Phantom of the Opera, and preparing for my next illustration project, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.*I do not consent to my work being used for AI or NFTs.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my illustrated edition of Gaston Leroux's gothic classic, The Phantom of the Opera. The finished book will be a limited edition hardcover featuring 12 full color illustrations, decorative quotes, and ornate designs. 28 Feb 2025- The book is off to the printer for round two!
27 Jan 2025- I'm almost done correcting and re-formatting the first proof. I've changed what type of cover the book will have. I'll be submitting the book for a second print test in February.
13 Dec 2024- The first proof copy has arrived! I'll be spending the rest of Dec polishing it up for the final version.
28 Nov 2024- I'm working on a new website for this project. I will soon be moving all the information from this page there, along with more details about the book and it's release.Progress:
