Hello, I’m Mai (pronounced like May). I’m an artist and graphic designer from the Washington, DC area. My specialty is digital illustration and design, with a current focus in book design. I also work in various traditional mediums such as ink, colored pencil, oils, and watercolors. My work is inspired by literature, nature, and all things whimsical.I'm currently working on an illustrated edition of Gaston Leroux's classic novel, The Phantom of the Opera, and preparing for my next illustration project, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.*I do not consent to my work being used for AI or NFTs.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my illustrated edition of Gaston Leroux's gothic classic, The Phantom of the Opera. The finished book will be a limited edition hardcover featuring 12 full color illustrations, decorative quotes, and ornate designs. 13 Dec 2024- The first proof copy has arrived! I'll be spending the rest of Dec polishing it up for the final version.
